A TOUR company is offering up day trips to see the filming locations from the well-known ITV hit, Vera - with more than 15 locations to see.

Brit Movie Tours is running a series of full day 'Vera' tours across Northumberland locations that have featured in the series.

The eight-hour tours promise to "delve" fans into DCI Vera Stanhope's world of murder and mystery by visiting the locations which include Amble, Alnmouth and Bamburgh.

Other locations also include more remote locations including parts of Hadrian's Wall which some will recognise from their screens straight away.

It also promises to treat fans to a visit of the home of DCI Stanhope, played by Brenda Blethyn, on Lindisfarne Island during the tour.

Led by a guide, who is well-versed in the series, the tours will start in Newcastle City Centre before being led via coach to each scene.

At each location, you'll get the chance to get on and off the coach and see some locations up close with opportunities to take photos.

The first tour of the year is set to take place at 10am on Sunday, June 27, with three further dates in 2022.

Tickets begin at £50 for children and £60 for those over the age of 16, while there are concessions for group bookings.

Brit Movie Tours is also running a series of tours of filming locations in Newcastle City Centre with dates throughout June, July, August and October.
