THERE have been 208 new Covid cases confirmed in the region in the last 24 hours.
Nationally, the Government said a further 13 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Monday, bringing the UK total to 127,100.
Separate figures published by the UK’s statistics agencies show there have been 150,000 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.
Government data up to April 10 shows that of the 39,846,781 jabs given in the UK so far, 32,190,576 were first doses – a rise of 69,223 on the previous day.
Some 7,656,205 were second doses, an increase of 189,665.
The Government also said that, as of 9am on Monday, there had been a further 3,568 lab-confirmed cases in the UK.
It brings the total to 4,373,343.

County Durham 37,730 was 37,693; Darlington 7,462 was 7,454; Gateshead 13,697 was 13,686; Hartlepool 8,837 was 8,821; Middlesbrough 12,387 was 12,372; Newcastle 23,362 was 23,340; North Tyneside 12,416 was 12,402; North Yorkshire 29,428 was 29,394; Redcar and Cleveland 9,265 was 9,254; South Tyneside 11,289 was 11,283; Stockton 15,790 was 15,776; Sunderland 21,986 was 21,974; York 12,167 was 12,159.
