Nevertheless, the Maidstone-born actor showed that he actually knows his stuff after he and his family won the first ever series of Britain’s Brightest Celebrity Family in 2020. Tonight sees Chaser Anne ‘The Governess’ Hegerty begin another run of the quiz series, as eight more celebrity families battle it out in four heats, with the winners going into the two semi-finals, and then onto the grand final. In tonight’s battle of the daytime TV debate show presenters, Vanessa Feltz takes on Matthew Wright, both with their families in tow.

She had already been the Head of State since the death of her father the previous year, but this was the moment tens of millions of people gathered around small television sets to watch the event happen live for the first time. But although her majesty’s coronation made her the most famous woman in the world, her anointment, i.e. the moment she became Queen Elizabeth II, was deemed so sacred that it was hidden and not allowed to be filmed. In this documentary, a clinical psychologist unpicks the Queen’s guarded body language, while lip-readers breathe new life into iconic Coronation balcony archive.

The second part of the three-part documentary telling the story of the first year of the Covid-19 pandemic uses candid interviews and personal archive to reveal what happened when nationwide lockdowns continued to be introduced, country by country, all over the world. A variety of contributors reveal the experiences and pressures of being trapped indoors, while a French photojournalist, who is forced to decide between working and home-schooling, makes the brave decision to head to the frontline and document the effects of the pandemic.

The new run will focus on the further frustrations of married life, the clash of career and personal lives, and how Jon and Lucy have been coping since viewers last saw them. Tonight, the couple begin to embrace lockdown life – Jon runs the only pub allowed to open in the country, which happens to be in his converted garage, while Lucy gets in touch with an old flame and starts work on the pilot for her BBC sitcom, directed by Johnny Vegas.
