• In road closures this week, Darlington Borough Council have announced the temporary road closure for Victoria Embankment from its junction with Victoria Road southwards to the north side of Leafield Road junction and from the south side of its junction with Leafield Road southwards to its end.
  • Darlington Borough Council have also announced an experimental order this week which will prohibit all motor vehicles from proceeding along Conscliffe Road from its junction with Grange Road westwards to its junction with Hogarth Court between 11.30am to 10.30pm on all days.
  • They have also announced the experimental order to prohibit all motor vehicles from travelling along Skinnergate from its junction with Duke Street southwards to its junction with Blackwellgate between 10.30am and 10pm.
  • Durham County Council have announced the temporary road closure of Low Lane between its junction with Grange Road and Station Road to enable cable connection works to be undertaken. An alternative route will be in place from the West side of the closure.
  • Durham County Council have also given notice for the disposal of open space. The disposal encompasses 45 square metres of land adjacent to Wear Terrace in Bishop Auckland.
  • In licences this week, Sharpsmart Ltd of Unit 1 on Meadowfield Avenue in Spennymoor has applied for a licence to use the same address as an operating centre for 10 goods vehicles and five trailers.
  • Dean West trading as DW Transport Ltd of Albatross Way in Darlington is applying for a licence to use unit 7, Universal Business Park on Henson Road in Darlington as an operating centre for eight goods vehicles and two trailers.
  • Sainsbury's on Darlington Road, Middleton St George, applied to sell alcohol between 7am and 11pm.
