The following cases were heard at Teesside and Cleveland Magistrates Court this week.

MR RINALD DEDA, 25 of Broadwell Road in Middlesbrough was fined £400 and disqualified from driving for 12 months after being caught behind the wheel under the influence of THC and driving without insurance. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £34 to victim services and £85 to Crown Prosecution Service.

MS DEBORAH DANCE, 54 of Westfield Court in Stockton was fined £600 and disqualified from driving for 12 months after she was caught behind the wheel under the influence of cocaine and driving without insurance. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £34 to victim services and £85 to Crown Prosecution Service.

MR JORDAN EDWARD THOMAS, 25 of Parton Street in Hartlepool was fined £800 and disqualified from driving for 18 months after he was caught behind the wheel under the influence of methane phentermine and cocaine, driving without a licence, driving without insurance. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £34 to victim services and £85 to Crown Prosecution Service.

MR DANIEL HANLEY, 33 of Grange Road in Hartlepool was committed to prison for 18 suspended for 12 months after dishonestly removing, retaining, disposing of stolen goods, namely, a mountain bike, a biomass power station identification card and a pair of glasses and case, assaulting a police officer by beating and kicking him twice in the leg, and assaulting a man. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £150 in compensation.

MR LEE HUGILL, 35 of Syon Court in Middlesbrough was given a community order after, on separate occasions, stealing washing detergent to the value of £6, meat and washing detergent to the value of £70, meat and washing detergent to the value of £70 and coffee and detergent to the value of £45 from Sainsburys. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £191 in compensation, £95 to victim services and £85 to Crown Prosecution Service.

MR ANDREW BRIAN DOYLE, 51 of Westbourne Grove in Redcar was committed to prison for 22 weeks after being found in the possession of a Stanley knife, the prison sentence was given because of previous similar offending. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £128 to victim services and £85 to Crown Prosecution Service.

MOHSEN MORADI, 31 of Central Mews in Middlesbrough was fined £200 after driving without due care and attention and causing an accident after failing to stop. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £34 to victim services and £200 to Crown Prosecution Service.

MR MICHAEL ANDREW WELLS, 36 of Old Elvet in Durham was committed to prison for an overall sentence of 36 weeks after, on separate occasions, stealing one perfume to the value of £78.00 from Boots, stealing three perfume bottles and a pack of razor blades to the value of £271.99, stealing packs of razor blades and aftershave to the value of £63.99, stealing razor blades to the value of £54.00, stealing a fragrance set to the value of £203 from Barkers Store in Northallerton, stealing cosmetics to the value of £94.35 from Boots, stealing cosmetics to the value of £82 from Boots and stealing two wireless headphones to the value of £40 belonging to Boots. These crimes were committed during a suspended sentence. The defendant pleaded guilty to all charges and was made to pay £631.99 in compensation.

MR JAKE CADDY, 20 of Tyne Road in Redcar was committed to prison for 16 weeks after stealing a car to the value of £4,000. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £95 to victim services and £85 to Crown Prosecution Service.

MR DAVID TERVOR NIXON, 46 of Dalby Clos in Redcar was committed to prison for an overall sentence of 32 weeks after threatening someone, was found in the possession of a baseball bat and threatened to damage a car belonging to someone else. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to £128 to victim services and £85 Crown Prosecution Service.

KAROLINA PSTRAG, 19 of Yarm Lane in Stockton was committed to prison for 12 weeks suspended for 12 months after assaulting a man and threatening someone causing them alarm or distress. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £240.00 in compensation.

MISS TINA MARIA HOPKINS, 41 OF Johns Close in Middlesbrough was given a community order after stealing a washing machine, fridge, cooker and microwave belonging to Nacro to the value of £900. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £900 in compensation.

MR SEAN JAMES BONNER, 33 of Richmond Place in Thornaby was given a community order after intentionally touching a woman aged 16 or and that the touching was sexual when she did consent. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £400 compensation.

MR KENNETH YOUNG, 39 of Westbourne Street in Stockton was given a community order after travelling on a train without paying for a ticket, stealing two Jeff the Chef Parmos and a joint of meat to an unknown value from Asda, stole goods to the value of £10.40 belonging to Tesco Express, assaulted a man by beating him, assaulting a woman by beating her, used threatening behaviour, was caught in the possession of class A drugs and was caught in the possession of class C drugs. All cases were committed during a suspended sentence. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £64.90.

MISS CAITLIN FOREMAN, 20 of Pickard Close in Peterlee was given a community order after assaulting two police officers. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £200 in compensation, £95 to victim services and £85 Crown Prosecution Service.

MISS JENNIFER LOUISE STODDART, 37 of Tower Street in Hartlepool was given a community order after stealing, on separate occasions, two packs of bedding and two roles of wallpaper to the value of £76 from Wilkinsons, four bottles of gin from Tesco, alcohol to the value of £81.50 from to Tesco, alcohol to value £99.50 from Tesco, alcohol and clothing to the value of £150.20 from Asda. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £152 in compensation.

MISS ANDREA DONNA ROBINSON, 42 of Sheriff Street in Hartlepool was given a community order after assaulting three people during the period of a community order. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £200 in compensation.

MR JACK FORD, 28 of Deacon Street in Middlesbrough was fined £40 after being caught outside of the tier 4 area in which he lived and failed to surrender to York Magistrates Court. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £34.00 to victim services and £85 to Crown Prosecution Service.

MR CHRISTOPHER JOHN CHAPMAN, 33 of Enderby Gardens in Hemlington was committed to prison for 32 weeks suspended for 18 months after trespassing into a building and stole alcohol to the value of £9.50, stealing alcohol to the value of £8.00 from Jackson stores and trespassed into a building with the intent to steal. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £509.60 in compensation, £156 to victim services and £620 to Crown Prosecution Service.

MR KIERON PETER CLARK, 31 of no fixed address was committed to prison for 12 months after being caught in the possession of a de-tagging device, on separate occasions stole alcohol to the value of £1,884, stole a selection of meats to the value of £187.81 from Morrisons, stole cleaning items to the value of £70.88 from a Spar. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £250 in compensation.

MR COREY ANDREW GENTLES, 21 of Marwood Square in Stockton was fined £80 after being inn charge of a dog which worried livestock, namely sheep, on agricultural land. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £1,250 in compensation and £34 to victim services and £85 to Crown Prosecution Service.
