AN appeal has been launched after a woman was reportedly locked in a car, which was driven off last month.
Police are appealing for motorists to come forward after an incident, in Guisborough.
Cleveland Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident outside Budgeons Store on Enfield Chase, Guisborough at around 5pm on Friday, February 26.
Police reported that a woman was prevented from leaving a locked silver vehicle which then left the car park at speed.
The woman’s welfare has been established and she is receiving support.
An unknown woman had got out of her own car at the time and was walking past the vehicle allegedly containing the other woman and police are specifically appealing for her and another motorist who pulled up nearby in his car to get in touch.
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the alleged incident and has been bailed with conditions while inquiries continue.
