A MAN has been arrested following reports of a burglary at the home of an elderly woman.
Valuable jewellery was reported to have been stolen during the break-in of a home in Stockton.
Police were contacted at about 9.15pm last night following the incident at a home in Bromley Road, in Hartburn.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said the householder, who is a woman in the 90s, was present while a man forced entry to the rear of the property.
A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and is being questioned.
The alleged victim is receiving support while inquiries are ongoing.
