A MAN charged over a crash that left a little boy with serious injuries will have his case heard by the crown court later this month.
Harry Summersgill, 24, of Whitehouse Croft, in Long Newton, Stockton did not enter a plea when he appeared at Teesside Magistrates' Court this morning.
He has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving in connection with a crash involving a white Mercedes Benz and two cyclists on Yarm Road in Eaglescliffe at 7.15am on Sunday, February 28.
A six-year-old boy suffered serious injuries in the incident and currently remains in a stable condition in hospital.
Due to the seriousness of the charge, the case was sent by magistrates to the crown court.
Mr Summersgill is now due to appear at Teesside Crown Court on March 30.
