THE Northern Camera Club has more than 2,000 members and we regularly feature their pictures both in paper and online.
But we thought it would be good to find out more about the people who make up the club.
If you are a member of the camera club and want to be part of the our Behind the Lens feature, email sarah.caldecott@nne.co.uk
Peter Green loves nature
This week we meet Peter Green, above, from Darlington.
Who or what inspired you to take up photography?
The freedom to be creative and express your own style While also saving cash taking your own family pictures.
Dog portrait
What was your first camera?
My first camera was a Canon 1200d with kit lens
Great photo
What’s your go-to kit at the moment?
I am using a Canon 700d with lenses, ranging from the 50mm 1.8 to the 150-600mm sigma contemporary. I have various off-camera flashes and strobe kits plus a reasonable Mac to edit them on.
In flight
Is there anything in particular you enjoy photographing most, and why?
I’m a huge fan of nature and spend a lot of time (before lockdown) at York birds of prey centre. Portrait photography is also another interest.
Favourite photo
Favourite photo?
My all time favourite picture is one I purchased of a jetty overlooking the sea. The water was smooth like glass and the image draws you in (sadly, can’t remember what it was called). As for my own photos, I love the picture of the black Labrador taken at Richmond river.
