AN arsonist has admitted deliberately setting a fire in a block of flats endangering the lives of all the residents.
Ann Hodgson started the fire in the bathroom of a flat in Regent House, Darlington, on January 9 last year.
The 55-year-old caused damage to the shower base and shower curtain in the block of flats.
Judge Paul Watson QC adjourned the case at Teesside Crown Court to allow the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
He said: "I have read the psychiatric report and although it is comprehensive, there's a long history of mental health issues. Without wanting to give an indication of sentence, this is a serious offence and custody is likely."
Hodgson, now of Gresham Road, Middlesbrough, will be sentenced on April 4.
