THREE men have been remanded in custody charged with the murder of a 27-year-old man.
Adam Chawla suffered fatal injuries at a house in Stockton last week - he died on Sunday.
Police were called to an address on Eleanor Place at 8.10pm on Friday, February 19, following reports that a man in his 20s had sustained serious life threatening injuries.
Ryan Stewart Burey, 29, of Wembley Way, Stockton; Craig Richard Hardy, 40, of Cambridge Road, Thornaby and Naeem Iqbal, 50, of Eleanor Place, Stockton, all appeared at Teesside Magistrates' Court this morning.
None of the defendants entered a plea to the charge.
They were remanded in custody and will appear at Teesside Crown Court tomorrow.
A Cleveland Police spokesman said: "Our thoughts are with the victim’s family who are being supported by specially trained officers."
