SUPERMARKET shoppers have been helping feed families in need , while volunteers are helping to deliver it.
The King's Foodbank in Darlington is being supported through the Fight Hunger Create Change initiative, a partnership between Asda, FareShare and the Trussell Trust.
And volunteers from Darlington Support have also been getting involved by helping to deliver donations to the foodbank and food parcels to people unable to get out.
Foodbank manager Caroline Todd said: “King’s Foodbank are extremely indebted towards Darlington Support Group for the wonderful ongoing support of all that we do here at King’s. They have been out in all weathers throughout the whole of this pandemic, delivering food parcels on our behalf and making vital collection runs for us to and from the Asda store, and we would like to also take this opportunity to thank Asda and all the wonderful community for their heart to help others.”
