THE following cases were heard at Teesside Magistrates Court this week

PAUL WEBSTER 51, of Eldon Grove in Hartlepool was committed to prison for eight weeks suspended for 12 months and disqualified from driving for 36 months after he was caught behind the wheel when the amount of alcohol in his breath exceeded the prescribed limit. The amount of alcohol in his breath was 169 microgrammes. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £128 to victim services and £85 Crown Prosecution Service.

CALLUM MOPPETT, 28 of Stanstead Way in Stockton-on-Tees was fined £345 after assaulting two police officers. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £34 to victims services and £85 to Crown Prosecution Service.

MR DANIEL WAYNE GENT, 30 of Scott Street in Redcar was committed to prison for 16 weeks concurrent suspended for 12 months after assaulting a woman by beating her and was committed to prison for a further four weeks concurrent suspended for 12 months after damaging a window belonging to the same woman.

MR RICHARD HARRISON, 43 of Harington Road in Stockton-on-Tees was committed to prison for 12 weeks concurrent suspended for 12 months after stealing shampoo and conditioner to the value of £70 from Poundland. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £70 in compensation and £40 to Crown Prosecution Service.

MR RICHARD HARRISON, 43 of Harington Road in Stockton-on-Tees was committed to prison for 12 weeks for failing to apply with a community order made by Teesside Magistrates Court.

MR RICHARD HARRISON, 43 of Harington Road in Stockton-on-Tees was committed to prison for 12 weeks suspended for 12 months after he stole air fresheners to the value of £30 from ASDA. He committed the offence whilst on conditional discharge.

MR RICHARD HARRISON, 43 of Harington Road in Stockton-on-Tees was committed to prison for 10 after he stole six jars of coffee to the value of £30 from Poundland. This offence was committed during a suspended sentence. The overall length of his sentence will be 22 weeks. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £128 to victim services.

MR COREY MALCOLM CONNELLY, 26 of Holty Walk in Middlesbrough was given a community order and a restraining order after assaulting a woman by beating her and damaging various household items belonging to the same woman and damaging a police custody cell. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £1,200 in compensation and £300 to Crown Prosecution Services.

MR STUART THOMAS MORGAN, 47 of Bridge House Hostel in Stockton-on-Tees was committed to prison for 26 weeks suspended for 12 months after breaching a non-molestation order and assaulting a woman causing actual bodily harm. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £122 to victim services.

MRT PAUL LAWRENCE AMERIGO 43 of Northgate in Hartlepool was committed to prison for 16 weeks concurrent, suspended for 18 months after two cases of assaulting a woman by beating her and damaging a mobile phone belonging to the same woman to the value of £80. The defendant pleaded not guilty and was made to pay £150 in compensation.

JAMIE CAMERON, 36 of Kennedy Gardens in Billingham was committed to prison for 20 weeks after assaulting a woman causing her actual bodily harm with a sustained assault and headbutting the woman causing serious injury. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £128 in compensation.

MR JOHN RILEY, 48 of Laburnum Road in Redcar was committed to prison for 16 weeks suspended for 12 months after he assaulted two police constables and used threatening or abusive language towards a woman and was given a restraining order. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £128 to victim services and £85 to Crown Prosecution Service.

MR CHRISTOPHER JAMES JONES, 34 of Bridge Street West in Middlesbrough was given a community order after he stole joints of meat to the value of £50 from ASDA and together with an accomplice stole four bottles of gin to the value of £88 from ASDA. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £44 in compensation.

MR CHRISTOPHER JAMES JONES, 34 of Bridge Street West in Middlesbrough was given a community order after he stole air fresheners and an FCUK gift set to the value of £48.93 from B&M stores and failed to surrender to Teesside Magistrates. The defendant committed the offence whilst under another a community order from a previous offence.

MISS KIMBERLY MCCABE, 37 of Teare close in Middlesbrough was committed to prison for four weeks suspended for 12 months after stealing, together with Gerard Ward, Lancome Perfume to the value of £444 belonging to Debenhams as well being committed to prison for a further 8 weeks after stealing, together with Gerard Ward cosmetic products to the value of £100 from Yurily Cosmetics. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £222 in compensation.

MISS KIMBERLY MCCABE, 37 of Teare Close in Middlesbrough was committed to prison for 12 weeks consecutive previous offence for stealing, together with Gerard Ward, cosmetics to the value of £328 from Boots. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £100 in compensation.

MR GERARD HOWARD WARD, 37 of Teare Close in Middlesbrough was committed to prison for four weeks after, together with Kimberley McCabe stole cosmetic products to the value of £100 belonging to Yurily Cosmetics and was committed to prison for a further eight weeks consecutive after stealing, with Kimberley McCabe, Lancome Perfume to the value of £440 from Debenhams. He was committed to prison for a further two weeks after failing to surrender to Teesside Magistrates Court. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £128 in compensation.

MR GERARD HOWARD WARD, 37 of Teare Close in Middlesbrough was committed to prison for a further 12 weeks consecutive after stealing, with Kimberly McCabe, cosmetics to the value of £201 belonging to Boots. This offence was committed during a suspended sentence. The defendant’s overall length of sentence was 35 weeks. The defendant pleaded guilty to this offence also.

MR DANIEL AUTEN, 32 of Coleridge Avenue in Hartlepool was committed to prison for 17 weeks after being caught with a knife, the man is reported to have wilfully and persistently failed to compy with a community order and shows flagrant disregard for court orders. The defendant pleaded guilty.

PAUL ROBERT KENNETH JOHNSON, 28 of Ainstable Road in Middlesbrough, was made to pay £419 in compensation after they destroyed eight mugs, two plates and damaged a fish tank and tv to the value of £419 belonging to staff. The defendant pleaded guilty.

MR SIMON PAUL PARKINSON, 41 of Leybourne Terrace in Stockton, was given a community order after intentionally exposing their genitals to cause alarm or distress and three cases of failing to surrender to Teesside Magistrates Court. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £95 to victim services funds.

MISS CHELSEA LEAIGH GARRINGTON, 29 of Throston Grange Lane in Hartlepool, was committed to prison for an overall sentence of 16 weeks suspended for 12 months after assaulting a police officer, assaulting an ambulance service clinical care assistant, caught in the possession of a class c drug. These offences were committed during a suspended sentence. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £200 in compensation.

MR AIDEN CURTIS OWENS, 25 of Lansbury Close in Middlesbrough was committed to prison for overall 16 weeks suspended for 12 months after stealing, with an accomplice, two hair straighteners to the value of £220 from boots and stole seven Nintendo Game Console Controllers to the value of £245 from ASDA and four pairs of earphones to the value of £82 from Tesco Stores. The defendant pleaded guilty to all offences and was made to pay £437 overall in compensation.
