POLICE are warning would-be partygoers to stay at home this weekend.
Durham Police revealed it issued 53 covid tickets last weekend to people attending house parties in Darlington.

Durham Police said it fined each partygoer £200 for breaching covid regulations.
Darlington Inspector, Dean Haythornthwaite, said: “It is almost a year since the start of the pandemic and the vast majority of people in Darlington are aware of the restrictions and are sticking to them to keep each other safe.
“However, those who choose to blatantly ignore the rules and put others at risk can expect to receive a fixed penalty notice.”
