WITH eating out not possible under the latest Covid lockdown, the North-East is tucking into takeaways.

But as restrictions continue, many of us have exhausted our favourite food and are looking to try something new without having to spend hours preparing it in the kitchen.

Whether it's getting your fix of fish and chips, pub grub or treating yourself Thai, sometimes you can spend what feels like forever scrolling through different options.

That's why, with the help of Just Eat, we've pulled together a list of recently added takeaways across Darlington, Durham and Teesside.

  • Teesside

The Porky Pint Billingham - Pub

This traditional real ale bar offers hot roasts, pulled beef sandwiches, roasties and even pigs in blankets.

After joining Just Eat just a month ago, bosses took to social media to give their thanks, saying they did not anticipate how many orders they would get.

The Yellow Rose Middlesbrough - Pub

The Yellow Rose has everything you need from a local, including a family-friendly atmosphere during the day and poker, pool and music competitions in the evening.

While you can't get an evening of bar sports delivered to your door, you can get pizzas, parmos and burgers.

Pier Vista Redcar - Fish & Chips / British

In true Teesside fashion, parmos are also on the menu at Pier Vista. This sea-infused menu includes everything from fish, chips, gravy and mushy peas to make-your-own fajitas.

Peri Peri Hermano's Cleveland - Chicken / Burgers

This popular Ingleby Barwick chicken shop proved a big hit across Teesside, recently opening another store in Middlesbrough before making it onto Just Eat in January.

The company's social media says its chicken is marinated for 24 hours in our special, secret recipe sauce, adding: "Then when it’s ready to cook we add your choice of extra sauce and flame-grill to ensure that each dish is tantalizingly tasty, just the way you like it."

Durham Lane Fisheries Stockton-On-Tees - Fish & Chips

Durham Lane Fisheries, part of the Robert’s family fish and seafood business, brings a passion for fresh fish that the family has for nearly a century.

The fish shop puts together luxury dishes like crab, prawn and chilli linguini while also offering classics like cod, and kids meals.

  • Durham

The Belmont - Pizza/Burgers

Pizza, parmos and Sunday dinners, the all-rounder takeaway is not short of glowing reviews on Just Eat.

The company, which has a range of 'dirty' burgers, has an impressive 5.82 starts of 6 on the delivery site.

A classic American burger joint with some stacked options, Tango also has topped nachos, dirty fries and vegan options on the menu.

Tango is perfect for those who need their burger fix.

Zen urges its customers to slip into a zen-like state, tasting some of the best thai food the world has to offer.

The Thai-Asian restaurant is well known in Durham city but is now available at home too.

Shaheens Indian Restaurant - Indian

Also in Durham city is Shaheens, which it says combining authentic Indian recipes with fresh, local produce.

With its "cosy family restaurant" closed due to Covid, its menu offers a huge range of Indian dishes and curry.

Manao Thai - Thai

This newly-listed Thair offers a mix of soups, curry and dim sum alongside everything else you would expect from a Thai restaurant.

Its owners regularly post deals on social media too.

  • Darlington

The Bridge Inn Stapleton - Pub/British

While in the Yorkshire village of Stapleton, Just Eat categorises this as Darlington because it's so close. It is 'the most northerly pub in Yorkshire', after all.

The pub, which offers 'a world of food', launched on Just Eat at the start of February.

The bosses wrote on Facebook: "We have learned and we will adapt, three days into the unknown.

"Just a little helping hand for us please, when preordering on Just Eat please remember we do not receive the orders until we go online and when we did tonight, boom 50+ orders printed out of the magic machine, surprise!"

Manjaros - African cuisine and Caribbean

Manjaros menu is based on a fusion of African cuisine and Caribbean delights but is also urrently serving parmos, pizza and pasta.

On its website, the restaurant claims its original branch as seen a few famous faces like The Game, David Haye and Tinie Tempah.

The bistro pub has a classic Italian menu with plenty of cocktails to order too.

New Leung Kee - Chinese

A classic Chinese takeaway, New Neung Kee also offers munchie boxes and set meals alongside specials and Thai dishes.
