TEESSIDE Airport is asking members of the public to name its brand new bar - with the winner receiving two free tickets to a destination of their choice.

The bar, which will open in the departures lounge in the new few months, is being added as part of a multi-million pound overhaul to the terminal building.

As part of the plans, a brand new restaurant, duty free retail shop, coffee bar, family passenger lounge and a refurbished business lounge will open by April.

A new check-in area, dedicated departure gate for Ryanair flights and security hall is also being created as part of the plans.

But launching its competition today, airport bosses have asked members of the public to come up with the best name for the new cocktail bar.

The lucky winner will then receive a pair of tickets to redeem with Loganair from Teesside Airport to a destination served by the airline of their choice.

They will be able to choose from Aberdeen, Newquay, Dublin, Belfast, Jersey or London Heathrow.
