FLOOD alerts are in place across the North-East and North Yorkshire after heavy rain-fall and melting snow last night.
Much of the region was hit by snow yesterday and heavy rainfall through the night causing distruption to roads.
A yellow snow warning has been issued for the region which is set to affect the region from midnight tonight until 18.00pm Thursday January 4.
There are 43 flood warnings across the UK and 154 flood alerts.
