THE following cases were heard in Teesside Magistrates Court in the last week.

MR NATHANIEL WHEATLEY, 40 of Bransdale Road in Middlesbrough, was committed to prison for 12 weeks suspended for 24 months after communicating with a woman in which he was prohibited from doing so by a non-molestation order. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £128 to victim services.

MR CARL SULLIVAN, 32 of Wynyard Mews in Hartlepool, was committed to prison for 18 weeks suspended for 18 months for entering Eskdale Road which he was prohibited from doing by a restraining order. The defendant pleaded not guilty but was found guilty and was made to pay £122 to victim services.

MR SHAUN CANNELL, 33 of Kirkstall Avenue in Middlesbrough, was given a community order of 100 hours of unpaid work after he assaulted a woman, damaged a front door belonging to the same woman assaulted another man and harassed and threatened another woman. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £200 in compensation.

STEPHAN RYAN, 60 of Brancepeth Avenue in Middlesbrough, was given a community order after assaulting a woman. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £95 in victim services.

MISS CARLA HILL, 33 of Badger Lane in Stockton-on-Tees, was discharged for 12 months after assaulting a police officer. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £75 in compensation and £22 to victim services, as well as £85 to Crown Prosecution Services.

MS LINDSAY ISABEL BLACK, 41 of West Road in Redcar and Cleveland, was fined £80 after she stole one Palm Router two Rotary Hammer Drills and two Inspection Cameras to the value of £164.96 from Aldi. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £164.96 in compensation, £34 to victim services and £85 to Crown Prosecution Service.

JOHN HENDERSON, 50 of Rodsley Avenue in Gateshead, was fined £880 after he kept two vehicles which were unlicensed. The defendant was proved guilty in absence of the court and was made to pay £240.84 in vehicle excise back duty and court costs of £180.

NATIONWIDE ENTS GROUP LTD, of Riverside Court in Blyth, were fined £440 after they kept a vehicle which was unlicensed. They were proved guilty in absence of the court and were made to pay £652.09 in vehicle excise back duty cost as well a court costs of £90.

MR LEE HUGILL, 34 of Costa Street in Middlesbrough was fined £80 after stealing numerous parcels from Amazon. The defendant pleaded guilty.

MR MICHAEL SURREY, 35 of High View Road in Darlington, was fined £588 and disqualified from driving for 15 months after failing to give a sample of breath for analysis and was made to pay £50 in compensation after assaulting a police officer. The defendant pleaded guilty to all charges.

MR LEE DANIEL BACON, 40 of Harington Road in Stockton-on-Tees, was given a community order after stealing three joints of beef from Aldi. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £95 to victim services and £85 to Crown Prosecution Service.

MR LEEANNE HARVEY, 44 of Borough Road in Middlesbrough was fined £120.00 after assaulting a police officer. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £100 in compensation, £34 to victim services and £40 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

MRS NILAN KAUR, 52 of Norton Avenue in Middlesbrough was fined £200 after she stole grocerie to the value £24.58 from Morrisons. The defendant pleaded not guilty and was made to pay £34 to victim services and £300 to Crown Prosecution Service.

MR ADAM REECE JONES, 19 of Wallington Drive in Darlington was made to pay £300 in compensation for damaging a reception window and table to the value of £480 and was discharged for 12 months after threatening and disorderly behaviour. The defendant pleaded not guilty to the damage done but guilty to the disorderly behaviour and was made to pay £21 in victim services.

MR AKHAM KHAN, 56 of Westbourne Street in Stockton-on-Tees was given a restraining order and fined £120 after assaulting a man causing him actual bodily harm. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £200 in compensation, £34 in victim services and £85 in Crown Court Prosecution Services.

MS AMANDA WRAY, 57 of Kennedy Gardens in Stockton-on-Tees was given a community order after making non genuine calls to the emergency services concerning an emergency which she was prohibited from doing and 3 other cases of calling 999 of which she was prohibited from doing unless in a genuine emergency. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £130 to victim services and £170 to Crown Court Prosecution.

MR DAVID GEORGE DALE, 34 of Letitia Street in Middlesbrough was committed to prison for 2 weeks after stealing 14 bars of Aero chocolate from a Tesco Express garage whilst being on a suspended sentence. The defendant pleaded guilty.

MR STEWART JAMES WRIGHT, 43 of Marton Road in Middlesbrough was committed to prison for 4 weeks suspended for 12 months after trespassing onto Tolsa UK Cargo on Fleet Road with intent to steal. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £128 to victim services.

MISS ROBYN DOHERTY, of Saltwater Court in Middlesbrough was fined £200 after two cases of being the parent of a child who did not attend their school regularly. The defendant pleaded not guilty and was made to pay £34 to victim services and £300 of court costs.

ALEX JAMES MCARTHUR, 19 of Tunstall Road in Stockton-on-Tees was fined £307 and disqualified from driving for 12 months after driving under the influence of cocaine and another case of driving under the influence of Ketamine. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £34 to victim services and £85 to Crown Prosecution Service.

MISS JENNA COOK, 35 of Central Avenue in Middlesbrough was given a community order after stealing a purse and contents to the value of £400 and committing fraud after making a false representation with a stolen bank card. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £200 in compensation, £95 to victim services and £85 to Crown Prosecution Service.

MR PRANADEEP KAMMA, 25 of Victoria Road in Middlesbrough was fined £400 and disqualified from driving for 18 months after driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without a licence and driving without insurance. The defendant pleaded guilty to driving under the influence but not guilty to driving without a licence and insurance, and was made to pay £40.00 to victim services and £620 to Crown Prosecution Service.

MR LIAM FRENCH, 28 of Litchfield Road in Middlesbrough was committed to prison for 26 weeks suspended for 18 months after assaulting a woman and causing her actual bodily harm, as well as committed to prison for 4 weeks concurrent suspended for 18 months after damaging a mobile phone belonging to the same woman. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £200 in compensation.

MR JASON CARTER, 38 of Pierson Court in Redcar was given 3 points on his licence and given a community order after driving a vehicle when the front wheels were fitted with pneumatic tyres which had the play or cord exposed as well as had in their possession a knuckle duster and lock knife. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £95 to victim services and £40 to Crown Prosecution Service.

MR PAVOL SUKAL, 42 of Tynedale Crescent in Haughton-le-Spring was committed to prison for 18 weeks suspended for 12 months after assaulting a paramedic by beating him. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £200 in compensation and £85 to Crown Prosecution Service.
