A FURTHER 807 cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the North-East and North Yorkshire.

The Government said a further 592 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Monday, bringing the UK total to 98,531.

Separate figures published by the UK’s statistics agencies for deaths where Covid-19 has been mentioned on the death certificate, together with additional data on deaths that have occurred in recent days, show there have now been 115,000 deaths involving Covid-19 in the UK.

Ss of 9am on Monday, there had been a further 22,195 lab-confirmed cases of coronavirus in the UK. A further 19 deaths were reported by hospitals in the region.

These included two at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, two at County Durham and Darlington; five at York Teaching Hospital and four at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust,

County Durham: 31,494 was 31,369 – up 125; Darlington: 5,897 was 5,865 – up 32; Gateshead: 11,724 was 11,698 – up 26; Hartlepool: 7,373 was 7,350– up 23; Middlesbrough: 9,794 was 9,725 – up 69; Newcastle: 20,514 was 20,439 – up 75; North Tyneside: 10,002 was 9,969 – up 33; North Yorkshire: 24,829 was 24,729 – up 100; Northumberland: 14,494 was 14,414 – up 80; Redcar and Cleveland: 7,578 was 7,544 – up 34; South Tyneside: 9,629 was 9,595 – up 34; Stockton: 12,627 was 12,583 – up 44; Sunderland: 17,811 was 17,745 – up 66; York: 10,738 was 10,672 – up 66.
