A HEROIN dealer caught 'red-handed' has been jailed for 30 months.
Jordan Easby was picked up by police while making a 'fairly basic' attempt at selling heroin, Teesside Crown Court heard.
Easby, who has been diagnosed with cancer of the throat while serving a separate prison sentence, appeared in court via videolink from Durham Prison.
The 26-year-old, who pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply a Class A drug, was arrested in Stockton on April 23, 2019.
Easby, formerly of Ramsbury Avenue, Stockton, was sentenced to three years and four months in prison last year, the court heard.
Rod Hunt, in mitigation, said throughout that sentence Easby has been locked in his cell 23 hours a day.
He said: "In reality he has been in lockdown throughout his sentence. The reality is that it has been tough but he is the author of his own misfortune."
Judge James Brown said: "You have pleaded guilty to a fairly basic attempt to sell Class A drugs and you were caught red-handed doing it."
