A SEX offender has admitted rape and taking part in sexual activity with two girls in breach of lifetime restrictions under a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
The order was issued at Warwick Crown Court in June 2014, when Paul Alexander McGlinchey was jailed for 30-months for downloading and distributing thousands of indecent child images to fellow group share users.
McGlinchey, of Sunningdale Drive, Usworth, appeared at Durham Crown Court for his latest offending via video link from the nearby prison.
The 34-year-old admitted one charge of rape of an underage girl.
He also admitted two charges of sexual activity, one involving the same child and another with a second girl, aged slightly older.
They put him in breach of the Sexual Harm Prevention Orde, for which he admitted a further two counts.
The case was adjourned pending the outcome of further allegations relating to indecent images, which have recently come to light.
Shaun Routledge, for the defendant, said those allegations should be resolved without the need for a trial.
Judge James Adkin adjourned to allow those new charges to reach the court to be put to the defendant, who was remanded to remain in custody until the next hearing, on February 24.
