THE following cases were heard at Teesside Magistrates Court in the last week.

MR DARREN ROBSON, 49, of Grosvenor Road in Billingham, was given a community order after he assaulted a woman by beating her. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £95 to victim services, and £120 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

MR JASON REID, 45, of Low Fold in Redcar was fined £200 and disqualified from driving for 12 months after being caught behind the wheel under the influence of cannabis and another two instances when he was caught behind the wheel under the influence of cocaine. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £34 to victim services and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

MR PAUL LEE JESSOP, 39 of The Stages Academy, Bridge Street West in Middlesbrough was given a community order of a curfew after he stole four sound bars to the value of £32 from Poundland, one litre of Jack Daniels from Morrisons, seven workshop model boxes from Boyes a 8 workshop model games boxes from Boyes. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £332 in compensation.

MS ANDREA LEANNE LARSEN, 45 of Moray Road in Stockton-on-Tees was fined £120 and disqualified from driving for 12 months after two cases of being caught behind the wheel under the influence of cocaine. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £34 to victim services and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

MR TEHMOOR KHALIQ MAHMOOD 36 of Chalk Walk in Stockton-on-Tees was fined £120 and disqualified for driving for 40 months after he was caught behind the wheel while over the prescribed limit of alcohol, driving without insurance and driving without due care and attention. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £34 to victim services and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

MISS LOUISE DOUGLAS, 26 of Hunwick Walk in Stockton-on-Tees, was given a community order of a curfew after she threatened and assaulted a woman and threatened "just watch what happens to your windows" implying that the threat would be carried out. The defendant was found guilty and was made to pay £120 in compensation.

MR BENJAMIN GRAHAM, 28, of Newlands Avenue in Stockton-on-Tees, was discharged for 6 months after he damaged another person’s vehicle to the value of £475. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £475 in compensation, £22 to victim services and £45 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

MR KRIS FELLOWS, 37 of Stirling Street in Hartlepool was fined £40 after he destroyed someone's window to the value of £500 and stole 10 chocolate bars and coffee jars from B&M. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £313.99 in compensation.

MR JOE LANGLEY, 29 of Spurn Walk in Hartlepool was given a community order of a curfew after he destroyed someone's window, assaulted two men and attempted to destroy a mobile phone. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £100 in compensation and £300 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

WILLIAM JACK WESTLE, 20 of Fernleigh, Winskill, Langwathby and Penrith in Cumbria was discharged for 12 months after he assaulted a police constable and obstructed a police constable. The defendant was found guilty and was made to pay £21 to victim services and £350 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

MR KIRK LUKE WHARTON, 32 of Saltholme Close in Middlesbrough, was fined £80 after he damaged a national lottery sign to the value of £250, stole a chocolate bar and damaged a window to the value of £454.26. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £705.76 in compensation and £34 to victim services.

MR KEVIN WEBB, 32 of Station Road in Redcar was imprisoned for 1 week after he was caught in the possession of a class A drug, stealing a bottle of vodka from Tesco, a bottle of Budweiser and coffee from Farm Foods. The sentence was so serious as he had disregarded previous court orders. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £45 in compensation.

GARETH BEVINS, 43 of Chapel Street in Redcar was fined £250 after assaulting a police officer. The defendant pleaded not guilty but was found guilty and was made to pay £100 in compensation and £620 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

MISS KAY WRIGHT, 38 of Kingsley Avenue was fined £293 for using a colour television without a licence. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £32 to victim services and £120 court costs.

MRS KIRSTY LOUISE DAWN STYLES, 29 of Topcliffe Street in Hartlepool, was fined £200 after being found drunk and disorderly, damaging a police vehicle, and intended to cause alarm or distress or threaten a man which was found to be racially and religiously aggravated. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £150 in compensation.

MR STEPHAN SWAINSTON, 35 of Tipton Close in Stockton-on-Tees, was made to pay compensation of £580 after he damaged a shed and chimney belonging to someone else. The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge.

MR SAVIN ALEXANDRU, 25 of Aire Street in Middlesbrough, was fined £120 after assaulting a woman and stealing two televisions and a tumble dryer to the value of £700. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £500 in compensation.

MR STEPHAN FRANCIS JOHN SHERIDAN, 32 of Northgate in Guisborough was given a community order and fined £1,500 after took a vehicle without the consent of the owner and drove without insurance as well as assaulting a woman. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £100 in compensation.

MR ALAN GEORGE HARRISON, 43 of Caithness Road in Middlesbrough was committed to prison for 12 weeks after being caught with a bladed article. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £128 in victim services and £300 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
