DARLINGTON'S Amazon fulfilment centre has donated £1,000 to a charity that supports families affected by autism.
The charity, Daisy Chain, provides a range of services and support to children and adults affected by autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions as well as raising awareness and offering training to professionals and businesses.
The donation is set to be used to continue to grow and develop the vital support services that local families depend on.
Prashant Pandey, general manager at Amazon's fulfilment centre in Darlington, said: “Daisy Chain is a great charity that cares for the people in our community affected by autism. We are very happy to support the charity’s efforts with this donation and hope it helps the team continue its amazing work.”
Tracey Wright, fundraising and media manager for Diasy Chain, said: "We would like to thank Amazon in Darlington for this kind donation. Donations like this help us continue to support as many people affected by autism as possible, so it is greatly appreciated.”
