RAIL services between the North-East, North Yorkshire and the rest of the country have been severely disrupted after severe weather overnight.
LNER has said "all lines" have been blocked with floodwater on the East Coast Main Line between Darlington and York.
Earlier this morning, the rail firm said that a rail replacement service is being sourced and operated between the two stations.
In a statement, LNER said: "All lines are blocked between Darlington and York due to flooding on the railway. Trains are unable to run between these stations. Buses are running between Newcastle, Darlington and York.
"CrossCountry services will not run between Newcastle and York. Buses have been requested and you may use your ticket with LNER via any reasonable route and with Northern between York and Leeds."
