A 61-year-old man has been charged in connection with a number of thefts from motor vehicles.
On Tuesday night, police in Rossendale arrested Barry Preston, after he was seen trying numerous car door handles in the Waterfoot area.
In relation to last nights arrest we have charged Barry Preston 61 years of Fairfield Avenue with three counts of interfering with a motor vehicle and one count of attempt theft from a vehicle. On Wednesday, Preston, of Fairfield Avenue, was charged with three counts of interfering with a motor vehicle and one count of attempted theft from a vehicle.
He will appear before Burnley Magistrates on February 9.
A spokesperson for the police said: "We have charged Barry Preston, 61-years, of Fairfield Avenue, with three counts of interfering with a motor vehicle and one count of attempt theft from a vehicle.
"Preston will appear before Burnley Magistrates on February 9 for plea."
