A man has been charged with failing to provide a specimen after turning up at a police station over the drug drive limit.
On Tuesday evening, the man, from Blackburn, arrived at Greenbank police station in the town to pick up his brother.
However, police noticed something suspicious about the driver, and arrested him on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs.
After he failed to provide a drug sample for the police, officers charged him and he will be making an appearance in court in the coming days.
A spokesperson for the police said: "Maybe it is not the best idea to attend Greenbank police station to pick up your brother when you are over the drug drive limit.
"Male taken into custody and then failed to provide.
"He has been charged to appear at court."
