LUCK has finally run out for some our region’s most wanted fugitives, after officers locked up more than 20 suspects in the same week.
Last week officers from Northumbria Police in Sunderland and South Tyneside lead a series of co-ordinated strikes.
They honed in on some of the area’s longer-term targets who had been evading police.
A total of 21 suspects were arrested – including 11 in a single day.
They were interviewed on suspicion of a range of offences including burglary, arson, stalking and the importation of controlled drugs.
To report anything suspicious in the community, visit the ‘Tell Us Something’ page on Northumbria Police's website or call 101.
