THE following cases were heard at Teesside Magistrates Court in the last week

MR MICHAEL LEE MCBRIDE, 39 of Park Place West in Sunderland, was fined £440 for two cases of using an unlicensed vehicle in both Middlesbrough and Sunderland, the previous licence on the vehicle expired on 05/10/2018. The crime was proved in his absence and was ordered to pay a vehicle excise back duty of a total of £83.34 as well as £90 of court costs.

NATALIE ANNE COOKSON, 40 of Harper Terrace in Stockton-on-Tees was disqualified from driving and holding or obtaining a driving licence for 36 months and made to pay £128 to fund victims services after driving a vehicle whilst over the prescribed limit of alcohol. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £85 to the Crown Court Prosecution Service.

VICKY MARIE WILLINGHAM, 31 of Masefield Road in Hartlepool, has a warrant out for her arrest without bail, after assaulting Kenneth Johnson by beating him.

MR ASHLEY HARRISON, 28 of Dent Street in Hartlepool, has a warrant out for his arrest without bail, after intentionally exposing his genitals intending that someone would see them and be caused alarm or distress.

AMANDA JANE MASON, 53 of Staveley Walk in Middlesbrough was given 120 hours of unpaid work and was disqualified from driving and holding or obtaining a driving licence for 24 months, after driving a vehicle whilst over the prescribed limit.The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £95 to fund victims services and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

MATTHEW PAUL NEALE, 26 of Calthorpe Court in Middlesbrough, was fined £55 for stealing six packs of steak and a bottle of bold washing up liquid to the value of £30.33 from Liddle. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £34 to victim services and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and an application was made for his benefits to be deduced.

PETER BREEZE, 27 of Bradhope Road in Middlesbrough was disqualified from driving and holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months after driving whilst over the prescribed limit of cocaine. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £34 to victims services and £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

MISS CATHERINE LOUISE ROBINSON of Roseneath Avenue in Stockton, was discharged unconditionally for 12 months after her and Lee Morton stole various items to the value of £50 from Poundland. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £22 to victims services and £85 to Crown Prosecution Services and an application was made for benefit deductions.

MR JASON STEWART SMITH, 41 of Dunlin House in Hartlepool was discharged for six months after stealing hair straighteners to the value of £220 from Boots. The defendant indicated that he pleaded guilty and was made to pay £220 in compensation.

MR REECE LEE MCGOWAN, 20 of Redcar Road in Redcar, was given a community order and made to pay £70 in compensation after he damaged a vehicle belonging to someone else without lawful excuse. The defendant pleaded guilty.

MR JASON RICHARD BAILES, 50 of Hartburn Village in Stockton-on-Tees was fined £733 and given a restraining order after pursuing a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of a woman which caused her fear. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £73 to victims services and £85 to Crown Prosecution Service.

MR JAMIE CHRISTOPHER ANDREW OWENS, 33 of Harington Road was imprisoned for 3 weeks concurrent and made to pay £231 in compensation for stealing skin products to the value of £693 from Boots and alcohol to the value of £153.99 from Morrisons. The defendant pleaded guilty.

MR ROSS HOUCHEN, 31 of Keilder Close was fined a total of £240 and disqualified from driving and holding a licence for 12 months for driving under the influence of cannabis and driving without insurance. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £34 to victims services and £85 to Crown Prosecution Service.

MR JACK SONNY OWENS, 23 of Lansbury Close in Middlesbrough, was committed to prison for 12 weeks suspended for 18 months after stealing a selection of goods with the value of £265.50 from B&M stores as well as two iphones with the value of £450 and two bottles of whisky with the value of £70 from Asda and two bank cards and committing fraud by using the cards to purchase goods with the value of £85.11, as well as stealing two bottles of vodka to the value of £32 from Tesco. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £171.11 in compensation.

CYRUS JOHN NELSON, 42 of First Street in County Durham, was fined £180 and disqualified from driving for 14 months for driving under the influence of cocaine. The defendant pleaded not guilty but was found guilty and was made to pay £34 to victims services and £620 to Crown Prosecution Service.

MR PAUL PRITCHARD, 50 of High View in Durham, was fined £180 and disqualified from driving for 14 months after two cases of driving under the influence of cocaine. The defendant was found guilty and was made to pay £32 to victims services and £620 to Crown Prosecution Service.

MR JOHNATHON PURVIS, 35 of Lanark Road in Hartlepool was given a community order of 150 hours of unpaid work after being caught drunk and disorderly, assaulting a police officer and being in possession of cocaine. The defendant pleaded guilty and was made to pay £150 in compensation £95 to victims services and £85 to Crown Prosecution Services.
