A MAN has been taken to hospital following a crash on the A66 near Darlington.
It happened at about 10am on the westbound carriageway near Sadberge and involved a Ford transit and a DAF fad tipper.
Police said both drivers received "minor" injuries.
One man has been taken to James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough.
Motorists are being warned that delays are expected.
A spokeswoman for Durham Police said: "Police were called to a two vehicle collision on the A66 at Sadberge shortly after 10am this morning (January 15).
"The incident involved a Ford transit and a DAF fad tipper, both drivers are believed to have received minor injuries.
"Recovery of vehicles is currently taking place, please expect some delays."
A spokeswoman for the North East Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 10.05am this morning to reports of a road traffic collision on the A66 in Sadberge.
"We dispatched a double crewed ambulance and transported one patient to James Cook hospital."
