DETECTIVES searching for Sunderland man Alan Jordan are appealing for help in a bid to track him down.

Mr Jordan is currently wanted by officers on prison recall after breaching the terms of his licence.

A police spokesman said: "We have searched various addresses across Wearside in a bid to locate the 29-year-old, who is avoiding officers despite knowing that he is wanted.

"It is believed that Jordan may have links to the Derbyshire area and enquiries are ongoing in both the North-East and in the Midlands.

"Today, we are appealing to members of the public who may have seen him to come forward with information.

"We would like to reiterate that it is a criminal offence to harbour somebody who is evading arrest and we do not want anyone to get into trouble on Jordan’s account."

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call 101 quoting reference 0579543.

Alternatively you can pass on any details to independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
