THE first snow of 2021 fell over the region today, with weather warnings in place.
Many places across the North East have received a blanket of snow this morning and the cold weather is set to continue.
Yellow weather warnings for snow and ice have been put in place for much of the region.
The warnings are set to stay in place until tomorrow.
