A NORTHALLERTON man has been charged with online child sexual grooming offences.
Michael Joshua Ward, aged 21, appeared before York Magistrates Court on January 1 2021 charged with three online child sexual grooming offences.
The offences include attempting to cause or incite sexual activity with a child on December 1 2020; attempting to cause a child to watch a sex act on December 1, 2020; and attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child on August 30, 2020.
Ward is due to appear at York Crown Court on 1 February 2021.
North Yorkshire Police said their Online Abuse and Exploitation Team is investigating and they have ensured all necessary safeguarding measures have been put in place.
