POLICE have recovered several pairs of collectable trainers that were stolen during a burglary.
The 14 pairs of trainers, which were all Adidas Originals still in their boxes, were stolen from a house in Durham during September while the homeowner was away on holiday.
Officers have recovered five pairs, worth £75 each, following a house search on Wednesday. A further nine remain outstanding.
A police spokesperson said: "We would like to appeal to anyone who may have any information on the whereabouts of these trainers to get in touch. Likewise, we would also like to speak to anyone who has been offered a pair for sale."
A man was arrested in connection with the incident and admitted the offences. He has been referred to the force's Checkpoint Scheme.
Anyone with any information should contact 101, quoting number CRI00295973.
