POLICE say that an elderly woman who went missing from her home last night has been found safe and well.
The 82-year-old had last been see at around 10pm last night at her home in Ainthorpe, which is 12-miles west of Whitby.
Police issued an urgent appeal for the public to keep an eye out for her and check any outbuildings.
There were particular concerns that she was not wearing any shoes and was in her nightwear.
Thankfully, within minutes of issuing the missing person's appeal this morning, North Yorkshire Police said: "The 82-year-old woman who went missing from her home in Ainthorpe, near Whitby, has been located safe and well.
"Officers would like to thank everyone who took the time to share the appeal."
