WETHERSPOON is set to launch a brand-new breakfast range in its North-East pubs - with slashed prices on hot drinks.

The pub chain, which has dozens of venues across the region, will launch a breakfast muffin range with competitive prices.

JD Wetherspoon said it will also be slashing the price of its coffee and tea to 99p as part of the new range.

It said it would be launching an egg and bacon muffin, egg and sausage muffin, at £2.39 each.

While they are launching a breakfast muffin with both bacon and Lincolnshire sausage for £2.59 and an egg and cheese muffin for £1.99

They will all be served with a free range, RSPCA assured, freshly cooked fried egg and are all under 500 calories each.

A spokesperson for JD Wetherspoon said: "For under £1, customers can enjoy a range of coffees (latte, cappuccino, flat white, espresso, black coffee, white coffee) or Tetley tea, with free refills, at all Wetherspoon pubs."

Guy Stoker, manager of The Bishops Mill in Durham City, said: “We are continually striving to provide our customers with great quality, choice and value and this new breakfast muffin range adds to our already-huge range of breakfast menu choices.

“Together with our exceptional value coffee and tea, at just 99p, our breakfast offering just got even better.”

The range, along with its breakfast menu, will be served until 11.30am every day.
