A DOG was attacked whilst on a walk and later died from its injuries.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or information about the attack that happened in Dormanstown, Middlesbrough, on Sunday November 29.
A woman was walking her Jack Russell, named Patch, on South Avenue between 2pm and 2.15pm, when another dog, which was reportedly not on a lead at the time, attacked Patch.
The attacking dog is described as similar to a Labrador or Retriever.
It was with one woman who had blonde hair and another woman with dark hair who had an Alsatian-type dog with her.
Patch suffered serious injuries and sadly later died.
Anyone with information regarding the incident, or the owner of the Labrador/Retriever type dog, is asked to contact PC Wayne Pursley on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident number 195252.
