POLICE have seized an estimated £120,000 worth of cannabis, sweets or ‘edibles’ infused with cannabis, illegal tobacco products, samurai swords and stolen cider.

Three people have been arrested after the items were seized at a property on Nut Lane in the Ladgate area of Middlesbrough today.

Officers carried out a warrant this morning.

Cases of Vixin cider were recently reported stolen from a commercial premises near Skippers Lane in Middlesbrough.

This alcohol was estimated to be worth thousands of pounds, and it has now been returned to the owner.

Three males aged 48, 52 and 59 have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and possession with intent to supply class B drugs.

They remain in police custody at this time.

Sergeant Chris Turner from Middlesbrough Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Wherever we can, we will take action against those dealing in illegal drugs activity. We have listened to our local residents and today’s result has been just one example of us acting on that information.

“We would urge anyone with information regarding drugs activity in their local area to contact us on 101, or online.”
