THE region's streets which have seen house prices rocket because of their money-related names has been revealed.
A study has identified the scores of streets where house prices are significantly higher than neighbouring addresses.
The study, commissioned by Invezz.com, looked at almost 1,000 street names across the UK and has found money-related street names can increase your home's value.
It found houses situated on street names with the historic terms Allfarthing and Halfpence are valued at more than £300,000 than the UK average.
Meanwhile money-related street names adds the most value to home prices in London, South-East and the North-East.
It says the region has 18 money streets, with an average of £97,139 extra thought to have been added as a result.
These are the region's streets with such names which have seen housing prices rocket:

- Bank Top, Darlington - increase of £33,927 (street value is £160,519)
- Bank Top, Ryton - increase of £107,191 (street value is £233,783)
- Floring Court, Bedlington - increase of £139,027 (street value £255,619)
- Gold Crest , Guisborough - increase of £184,481 (street value £311,073)
- Silver Street, Durham - increase of £86,043 (street value £212,635)
- Silver Street, Richmond - increase of £163,443 (street value £290,035)
- Silver Street, Richmond - increase of £126,008 (street value £252,600)
- Silver Street, Northallerton - increase of £187,253 (street value £313,845)
