POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two incidents where petrol bombs were thrown at properties in Grangetown.

The first incident happened around 3.55pm on Windsor Court on Sunday (November 22), and the second on Caernarvon Close a short time later at 4.15pm the same day.

Thankfully, both properties were unoccupied at the time of the incidents.

Detective Sergeant Matt Speak, from Redcar and Cleveland CID, said: “We are investigating two incidents at two properties in Grangetown yesterday, Sunday 22nd November whereby fire bombs were thrown.

“Fortunately, no one was injured in either of the incidents. We are looking into whether these incidents were targeted and whether they are linked.”

Anyone who may have witnessed the incidents, or anyone who may have CCTV or dash cam footage which could assist the investigation, are asked to contact Redcar and Cleveland CID on 101.
