A NORTH East construction firm has completed the first phase of a major infrastructure project.
Esh Construction has completed the first phase of works on the £8.4m International Advanced Manufacturing Park (IAMP) One scheme.
The works, which commenced in February 2019 have been delivered by Esh’s civil engineering division.
It spans 370-acres and is expected to create more than 7,000 new jobs over the next ten to 15 years.
The £8.4m contract involved the construction of a 1,500-metre highway with two access points along with the installation of pathways, kerbing, traffic signals, associated telecoms and utilities.
IAMP is situated to the north of the Nissan Motor Manufacturing plant, adjacent to the A19.
