THE family of a man missing for several weeks has appealed for public help to trace their loved one.
As Cleveland Police continues its efforts to locate Wayne Newton, his family has today spoken of their distress.
His mother, Janice Newton, said: “We are all so worried about Wayne.
“We are a close and loving family and none of us can stop thinking about him.
“It’s not normal for us to not hear from him.
“We’re grateful to those people who have given information and have been looking for my son, and we hope these pictures will help someone remember something.
“Please contact the police if you have any information, no matter how small.” The 41-year-old was last seen on Saturday October 24, at about 1pm, in the area of the Viewley Centre, in the Hemlington area of Middlesbrough.
He was wearing grey jeans, white trainers and a dark hooded top with the word ‘Polo’, written in white on the back.
Mr Newton, 41, is described as white, of medium build and about 6ft.
He has short, brown hair and blue eyes.
Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact Cleveland Police, via the 101 number.
