THE Middlesbrough Football Club Foundation delivered 41 bags of food to The King's Church Foodbank in Darlington today.

This has been part of a wider campaign by the Foundation to deliver food parcels to families in need.

The food was bought by the Foundation and Middlesbrough FC fans.

Ashley Fletcher, former team mate of Marcus Rashford at Manchester has been involved with the distribution of food, after a UK-wide campaign to help feed children during half-term.

Caroline Todd, manager of the foodbank said: "It was a nice surprise - we weren't expecting it. It's great what people do.

"I feel like the 'Great' has been put back into Britain. People have been donating left, right and centre."

The Foundation has already distributed 600 food parcels, with a target set at 1,000 by the end of the week.

Paul South, health coordinator for the Foundation, said: "We've been going out buying the food and delivering it over the last few days."

As well as Darlington food has been distributed to East Cleveland and central Middlesbrough, throughout this week.
