POLICE are appealing for information after six commercial premises have been burgled across Stockton, Middlesbrough and Redcar and Cleveland.

The burglaries occurred at:

  • The Avenue Convenience Store, Hollywalk Avenue in Normanby at 11.15pm on Friday (October 23) – job number 174666
  • McColl’s on Westgate in Guisborough at 11.45pm on Friday (Ocotber 23) – job number 174655
  • Premier Store on The Avenue in Normanby at 11.54pm on Friday (October 23) – job number 174657
  • Business premises on Church Road in Stockton at 12.34am on Saturday (October 24) – job number 174675
  • Hollywood Bowl in Teesside Park at 1.04am on Saturday (October 24) – job number 174692
  • Bargain Booze on Acklam Road in Middlesbrough at 1.11am on Saturday (October 24) – job number 174697

    Three males aged 17, 24 and 27 have been arrested in connection with the burglaries.

    Two men have been released under investigation pending further enquiries and the third male aged 17 remains in custody.

Officers are reminding business owners of what they can do to try to help protect their premises from being targeted, such as:

  • Ensuring that cash is removed from any business premises or stored in a bolted down safe.

• Make sure that stock rooms are locked and, where possible, keep stock out of sight.

• Conceal the interior of your premises with shutters or by drawing blinds.
