A FURTHER 3,120 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the North-East and North Yorkshire since Tuesday.
Meanwhile, 2,954 people have now died from the virus in the North East.
On Thursday, the Government announced a further 21,242 lab-confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the UK, taking the total number to 810,467.
The Government reported currently 7,433 people are in hospital due to the virus as of Tuesday, October 21.

County Durham: 10,006, was 9,318 an increase of 688
Darlington: 1,637 was 1,514 an increase of 123
Gateshead: 3,990 was 3,725 an increase of 265
Hartlepool: 1,895 was 1,782 an increase of 113
Middlesbrough: 2,924 was 2,700 an increase of 224
Newcastle: 7,642 was 7,238 an increase of 404
North Tyneside: 3,311 was 3,073 an increase of 238
North Yorkshire: 6,463 was 6,134 an increase of 329
Northumberland: 4,535 was 4,321 an increase of 214
Redcar and Cleveland: 2,052 was 1,848 an increase of 204
South Tyneside: 3,192 was 3,039 an increase of 153
Stockton: 3,574 was 3,256 an increase of 318
Sunderland: 6,149 was 5,812 an increase of 337
York: 3,072 was 2,874 an increase of 198
