Robert Joseph Foster has appeared at court charged with a raft of sexual offences
A MAN has appeared at court accused of a raft of sex offences against children.
Robert Joseph Foster faced a total of 14 charges at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
He is accused of one count of rape, four counts of sexual assault and nine counts of engaging in sexual activity with male and female children.
The offences are alleged to have taken place over a period of more than ten years.
Foster, who spoke only to confirm his name and address, appeared at court via video link and entered no pleas to all of the charges put to him.
The 54-year-old of Salters Close, Darlington, was remanded into police custody.
He will appear before a judge at Teesside Crown Court on Thursday, November 12, at 10am.
