Man appearing in court over attempted robbery at convenience store
A man was appearing in court today accused of attempting to rob an assistant at a convenience store.
Police were called to a report of a bid to carry out a robbery at Bungalow Convenience Store, on Stratford Road, Hartlepool, at about 6.30am on Friday.
A man was subsequently arrested and charged with robbery.
He was remanded in custody overnight and was due to make a first court appearance before magistrates today.
