A FURTHER 530 people have tested positive for Covid in the North-East and North Yorkshire.
The Government also said a further 17 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Sunday. This brings the UK total to 41,988.
The Government also said that as of 4pm on Sunday, there had been a further 5,693 lab-confirmed cases of coronavirus in the UK, taking the overall number of cases confirmed to 434,969.
The total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic of people who had had a positive test result for Covid-19 and died within 28 days of the first positive test in England were 37,286, Northern Ireland 578, Scotland 2,512 and Wales 1,612.

Newcastle-Upon-Tyne: 3,072 was 2,986, an increase of 86
North Tyneside: 1,549 was 1,514, an increase of 35
North Yorkshire: 3,595 was 3,560, an increase of 35
Northumberland: 2,463 was 2,397, an increase of 66
Redcar and Cleveland: 932 was 921, an increase of 11
South Tyneside: 1,780 was 1,742, an increase of 38
Stockton-on-Tees: 1,357 was 1,332, an increase of 25
Sunderland: 3,070 was 2,991, an increase of 79
York: 1,246 was 1,224, an increase of 22
