A WOMAN was threatened with a knife during an attempted robbery at a convenience store in Middlesbrough.
Police say a man in a face mask is reported to have entered the A and E convenience store in Fabian Court, Grangetown yesterday.
It happened at about 7.15pm.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses to come foward.
It was reported the man demanded the woman, who is aged in her 20s, hand over money from the till.
The man then left the store empty handed.
He is described as being a white male, around 6 ft” tall and of medium build and he was wearing all black clothing and a face mask.
It is believed he walked off in the direction of Harlech Close following the incident.
Officers are appealing for anyone with information regarding the incident or the male responsible to contact Cleveland Police on 101 quoting 156914.
