A COUNTY Durham shopping centre is set to see three new stores open in the next few weeks - just months after Morrisons confirmed it would open a supermarket there.

Major brands Lazy Jacks, Molton Brown and Costa Coffee are opening new stores within Dalton Park, Murton, this autumn.

It means the shopping centre will offer a bigger range of cafes which already includes Starbucks, Thorntons and BB's Coffee and Muffins.

Jerry Hatch, Centre Manager at Dalton Park, said: "We are delighted to be sharing some good news with three great brands heading to Dalton Park this autumn.

"All three brands, as well as Morrisons, are very welcome additions to Dalton Park and I know they will be really popular with our guests. The jobs that the new openings will provide is also important for our community."

Well-known for its luxury care products, Molton Brown will sell a range of bath, body and home fragrances.

While Lazy Jacks will offer customers casual, outdoor and performance wear ranges for all the family.

Caroline Midgley, Acquisition Manager at Costa Coffee said: “We are delighted to be bringing a new Costa Coffee to Dalton Park, the destination has developed a really strong line up of brands.

"With Morrisons now opening in a few month’s time it is great to be playing our part in creating new jobs and a community hub for the area.”

A further change comes in the form of Cotton Traders who will relocate to a new store in the centre in October.
