BOMB squads were called out to examine and dispose of a suspicions item in Darlington.
On Friday September 18, police received a report of a suspicious item near St Andrew’s Church, Darlington, at around 10.25am.
Explosives Ordnance Disposal attended to examine the item, and the item was disposed of at around 2.10pm.
As a precaution, officers closed Haughton Road while inquiries were carried out.
